Type Rating Training Course
Level 3 B1 Theoretical
Course Objective
After completing the Type Training B1 Maintenance Course, the participant should be able to:
- maintain the aircraft in accordance with the maintenance procedures prescribed
- identify / locate the major components associated with each system
- explain the operation of every system and its main components
- conduct a targeted search for errors or malfunctions in response to failure of particular systems or units
- exchange the aircraft’s LRUs and conduct Built in Test (BIT) by using the relevant documentation
- demonstrate proficiency in the use of on-board reporting systems
- determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with the Minimum Equipment List and Dispatch Deviation List

Teaching Method
The instruction method for the class is classroom discussion (lectures) along with classroom participation (questions, comments). Participants are certainly encouraged to participate throughout each session.
Completion Standard
- Minimal participation time is at least 90%. A passing score of 75% or above is requested for certification.

A total of approx. 15 days.

- Each participant should have the technical background as an Airframe and Powerplant Technician.
